On Thursday, the Paso Robles Youth Arts Center unveiled its brand new state-of-the-art teaching kitchen.

“We started with a dream,” said Barby Wunsch, the executive director of Paso Robles Youth Arts Center.

“It's important for us to find the next generation of those who love to cook, not only learning the opportunities of cooking healthy and inspiring others at home, but making it less intimidating,” said Molly Scott with JUSTIN Vineyards and Winery.

The "Justin Culinary Teaching Kitchen" refers to the state-of-the-art facility at the Paso Robles Youth Arts Center. Unveiled through community funding and a grant from JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery, the kitchen exposes local youth to culinary arts, offering low-cost classes and life skills in an accessible environment.

Key Features of the Teaching Kitchen Location: Situated near affordable housing developments (32nd and Spring St, Paso Robles, CA) to reach underserved youth.

Commercial Grade: The facility is equipped with modern appliances donated by Idler's Home, a pantry, and a commercial fridge.

Programming: Provides 8-week courses for roughly $15 per person to teach healthy cooking and essential career skills.

The unveiling was made possible through the JUSTIN Community Grants program, which has provided over $2.5 million to classrooms and local nonprofits since 2013.
